Respiratory Syncytial Virus

Here is Marcel at the Emergency Room
Marcel and his breathing treatment
This shirt was just to say he is with his daddy's band! Showin' his support

RSV... is just awful, if you have little ones I hope they never get it. Marcel was diagnosed with Rsv after I ran him into the emergency room with a really bad cough. Pablo was in Jackson Hole playing that night and I had stayed home because the roads were bad, I didnt think to much of Marcels cough at first because it wasnt that bad, but shortly it turned from bad to awful he was breathing hard and was struggling to take breaths! We waited in the ER with many other parents with babies with the same symptoms (hospital staff said this was the worst year for rsv they had ever seen) Finally, it was our turn to see the Dr. who then squirted saline up his nose than back out again to take to the lab to run the rsv test (Marcel HATED it!!) then he had to take chest x rays(besides the saline part Marcel was smiling the whole time). Soon after all the testing he was found to have rsv. The Dr.s debated whether or not to hopitalize my little baby. Luckily, they let him come home he had to have breathing treatments every 4 hours. The next night I ran him back in because he was wheezing and still having trouble breathing but there was nothing they could do so we just waited it out!!(my mom and sisters' babies also got rsv and were suffering it out too!) Day by day my little love starting getting better luckily now he is at full health(it felt like forever though!!) He still loves his rice cereal and is laughing all the time he loves his jumper and it is so cute to watch him bounce!

Well that is all for now!

Love,

Parv, Pablo, Daniel and Baby Marcel
